OUR FOUNDERS

Linda McGinnis

Co-Founder Turn 2 Softball

Coach Linda grew up in Pasadena, MD where she began playing softball at the age of 4. By age 10, she was playing for one of the top teams in the country and continued playing competitive travel ball until she was 18. Coach Linda played college softball for AACC when she was 26 years old.

In addition to the work she does on field coaching, Coach Linda is also the organizations college recruiting coordinator, and personally assists every player from Turn 2 who is going through the recruiting process. Since 2017 she has assisted every Turn 2 college commit through the process from start to finish, in addition to helping many others outside of Turn 2 achieve the same.

In 2017, Coach Linda led Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School to their first Conference Championship in 36 years. It was her first year coaching for the school that would become a power house over the next 4 years. In 2020, she followed her high school championship up with a USSSA State Championship with Turn 2. Then a top 10 finish at the 2021 USSSA Eastern Nationals.

Coach Linda has coached every age group from 6u to 18u, at the recreational, travel and high school levels. In addition to being a coach, she is also a private hitting and fielding instructor whose students have found success at every level.
